DESIGNING SOUNDS is founded by German based MICHAEL FAKESCH. He is a music producer, sound designer, DJ, lecturer and film music composer.
From 1995 til 2007 Michael Fakesch is 50% of the band FUNKSTÖRUNG, which is known for being one of the first bands doing IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) and Glitch Hop (a very electronic version of Hip Hop). Especially their remixes (e.g. BJÖRK, WU-TANG CLAN) and their outstanding collaborations with visual artists (e.g. THE DESIGNERS REPUBLIC, ZEITGUISED) gain worldwide fame.
Around 2005 Michael starts doing sound designs for TV and internet ads. Since then he has done numerous projects for ARD, BMW, Huawei, HTC, Karl Lagerfeld, MTV, Nike, Philip Morris, Philips (Cannes Golden Lion awarded), Pro7, Red Bull, Samsung, Telekom, Toyota, (incl. their audio logo), Virgin, ZDF and many many more.
End of 2014 Michael composes the scores for the independent movies 'HEIST' and ‚GAME OVER’.
Since 2008 Michael has a steady engagement as lecturer at KUNSTUNIVERSITÄT LINZ (Austria) teaching about sound design and music for motion pictures.
